Booz Allen taps former DoD comptroller to be fellow, advisor

Booz Allen Hamilton has named Robert Hale Booz Allen Fellow and advisor to the firm.

Hale joins Booz Allen after having served more than five years as Under Secretary of Defense, here he acted as principal advisor to three defense secretaries on all budgetary and fiscal matters, the company said in a release. He oversaw the Defense Department’s response to the 2013 sequestration and government shutdown.

When appointed by President Obama in January 2009, Hale served as executive director of the American Society of Military Comptrollers.

He holds a bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and statistics and a master’s degree in operations research from Stanford University and an MBA from George Washington University.
