Vencore wins cyber research work

Vencore, formerly the SI Organization, has won a $48.5 million contract for cybersecurity work as part of an Army research program.

The company won the contract through TT Government Solution Inc. of Basking Ridge, N.J., which it picked up as part of its acquisition of Applied Communication Sciences in 2013.

The contract will support the Army Cyber Security Collaborative Research Alliance, which is managed by the University of Pennsylvania.

The alliance is doing work in areas such as dynamic risk assessment, cyber threat detection, and the psychology of network users.

Vencore bested 16 other bidders to win the work. Work and funding will be determined by each task order.

The contract runs through Sept. 25, 2019.
