CGI Federal wins $50.4M task order to virtualize, migrate Navy apps

CGI Federal has won a potentially $50.4 million task order to provide modernize, virtualize and migrate U.S. Navy systems and applications.

CGI Federal has won a potentially $50.4 million task order to provide modernize, virtualize and migrate U.S. Navy systems and applications.

This task order, which has a base value of $9.8 million, was awarded under the GSA’s Alliant contract vehicle.

Under the contract, CGI Federal will modernize systems and applications and then migrate them to authorized Defense Department and Navy enterprise data centers as well as commercial hosting facilities, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will take place at CGI in Fairfax, Va., as well as at various data centers and hosting facilities including DISA, NGEN and commercial hosting facilities, the Defense Department said.

Work is slated to wrap up around September 2015, or by September 2019 with options.
