The General Services Administration has made further efforts to revamp their professional service acquisition schedules by consolidating its Multiple Award Schedule services offerings, according to FCW.com.

The change is part of an FAS Commissioner Tom Sharpe’s category management program aimed at reducing redundant acquisition programs. The consolidation will include many popular GSA schedules including MOBIS, FABS, PES and LOGWORLD, among others.

With as many as 527 contractors holding multiple schedules, the move for consolidation will free up contractors’ time and money, and make the contracts easier to use and yield more efficient acquisition, FCW reported.
