PAE, Raytheon joint venture wins $80.2M option to support 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral

Computer Sciences Raytheon, a joint venture between PAE and Raytheon, has won an $80.2 million option to support the launch processing mission of the 45th Space Wing.

The joint venture was originally part of Computer Sciences Corp., but it was taken over by PAE after the company acquired CSC's Applied Technology Division.

The option brings the total value of the overall contract to $657 million, the Defense Department said in a release.

The 45th Space Wing is a unit of the U.S. Air Force. Its mission is to support global operations and give access to the high frontier.

Under the option, CSC will provide operations, maintenance and sustainment of range and launch processing systems located at Cape Canaveral Air Station, Fla.

Work is slated to wrap up by Sept. 30, 2015.
