The Aerospace Corp. wins $6.6M contract to support national security space community

The Aerospace Corp. has won a $6.6 million contract with the Air Force to support the National Security Space Community.

The Aerospace Corp. has won a $6.6 million contract with the Air Force to support the National Security Space Community.

Under the contract, the company will provide general lifecycle systems engineering and integration.

This entails assisting with test and evaluation, launch support, flight tests, orbital operations and integration of space systems into effective systems of systems, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2014.
