Eight companies have won a $250 million contract to provide hydrographic surveying services to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Coast Survey.

The winners are:

  • Leidos
  • David Evans and Associates Inc.
  • Ocean Surveys, Inc.
  • TerraSond, Williams & Associates
  • C&C Technologies Survey Services
  • eTrac, Inc.
  • Fugro World Wide.

Under the contract, the companies will provide hydrographic data for updating NOAA’s nautical charts used by mariners to navigate coastal waters in the United States.

In a release, Leidos said that it will lead a team to provide hydrographic data acquisition services using vertical beam echosounder, multibeam echosounder, side scan sonar, airborne bathymetric Lidar and airborne topographic Lidar in any of the priority areas as defined in the NOAA Hydrographic Survey Priorities.

The company has ten teammates on this contract, but declined to name them, according to a Leidos spokesperson.
