Aerospace Testing Alliance wins $11.9M contract to support Air Force complex

Aerospace Testing Alliance has won an $11.9 million contract to provide a number of services in support of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

Aerospace Testing Alliance has won an $11.9 million contract to provide a number of services in support of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

The Arnold Engineering Development Complex operates 43 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units, according to its website.

Under the contract, Aerospace Testing Alliance will increase the workload for operations, maintenance, information management and support, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed at Arnold Air Force Base, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2014.
