AAI Corp. wins $75M contract to integrate, enhance Shadow UAV

AAI Corp. has won a $75 million contract to provide technology integration to the U.S. Army Joint System Integration Laboratory.
Under the contract, AAI will integrate unmanned aircraft systems, including the Shadow, which AAI makes.
The Shadow UAV is used for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment, and is used by the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Australian Army and Swedish Army.
AAI will enhance the Shadow’s platform, payload and ground systems performance.
Work is expected to be completed May 29, 2018.
