Boeing scores $22M contract to sustain Navy aircraft fleet

Boeing has won a $22 million contract to sustain the Navy’s C-40A aircraft fleet.

Boeing has won a $22 million contract to sustain the Navy’s C-40A aircraft fleet.

The C-40A aircraft provides logistics support to the Navy and features a flight management computer system with an integrated GPS. It also has an enhanced ground proximity warning system, predictive wind shear, head up display, and TACAN/UHF/IFF functions, according to the Navy’s website.

Under the contract, Boeing will provide project management and technical and engineering services.

Work will be performed in Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed in January 2019.
