Small biz C&N Universe wins $40M operational support contract

C&N Universe Inc. has won a contract worth up to $40.2 million to provide broad-based berthing and messing support.

The National City, Calif.-based small business will be tasked with supporting the Commander, Pacific Fleet Berthing and Messing Barge Program, with a range of organizational-level maintenance and repairs and operational support services.

The initial value of the contract is $7.2 million, though if all options are exercised the total value could reach a ceiling of $40.3 million.

Funds in the amount of $7.2 million were obligated at the time of the award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work is expected to wrap up by May 2015, with options potentially pushing work until May 2019.
