GSA looking to complete next phase of DHS consolidation

It might be worth looking at the new request for proposals from the General Services Administration outlining the next phase of consolidation for the Homeland Security Department.

DHS is movnig to a single location, and needs design and construction services for the Center Building on the campus of the former St. Elizabeth’s hospital in southeast Washington, D.C., Federal Times said.

Construction cost is estimated to be between $100 million and $130 million, with the project wrapping up 20 months after the start date. Congress has authorized $155 million for GSA to finish the next phase of consolidation, which would bring more than 14,000 employees to the campus, Federal Times reported.
