CSC taps ex-DOD deputy CIO to manage company's cyber business

Computer Sciences Corp. has named former Navy CIO and Defense Department deputy CIO Rob Carey as vice president and general manager of the company’s cybersecurity business.

Carey joins CSC from the Defense Department, where he served as the principal deputy chief information officer and helped lead the consolidation and standardization of the DOD information technology enterprise, CSC said in a release.

Before becoming DOD CIO, Carey served as the fifth CIO of the Navy.

He spent 25 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve, retiring as captain in the Civil Engineer Corps.
