Tech Data Corp. makes three internal promotions

Tech Data Corp. has rearranged its leadership, making three internal promotions to manage the company's regional business areas and finances.

Tech Data Corp. has rearranged its leadership, making three internal promotions to manage the company's regional business areas and finances.

Charles Dannewitz has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, the Americas, where he will be responsible for finance, accounting and credit in the United States, Canada and Latin America, and will continue to oversee the company’s tax function. He joined the company in 1995 from Pricewaterhouse, where he spent 13 years. Dannewitz holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Alain Amsellem has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, Europe, where he will be responsible for the company’s finance, accounting and credit operations in Europe. Amsellem joined the company in 1994 via Tech Data’s acquisition of Softmart International. He holds a degree in management and chartered accountancy from Dauphine University in Paris.

Scott Walker has been named vice president and treasurer, where he will oversee the company's worldwide Treasury function. Walker joined the company in 2010 from Jabil Circuit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Vermont.

All three will report to Jeffrey Howells, Tech Data Corp. executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Additionally, David Childers, current director, Corporate Treasury, has been named assistant treasurer and will continue to report to Walker.
