Secure Communication Systems acquires surveillance solutions firm

KippsDeSanto served as advisor to deal

Secure Communication Systems has acquired Tactical Micro in a move to boost its training, instrumentation and surveillance solutions for military and commercial customers.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This acquisition is a strong strategic fit for Secure and we expect Tactical Micro's transition to be seamless," said Brian Martin, principal at Vance Street Capital, the private equity firm that owns Secure Communication Systems.

“Having Tactical Micro on board will help Secure further diversify its end markets,” he said.

Tactical Micro founder and president John Moulton will retain an ownership stake in the company, and will continue to serve as president, the company said in a release.

Investment banking firm KippsDeSanto and Co. was the advisor on the deal.
