Abt Associates takes $27.6M contract to support EPA water office

Abt Associates has won a $27.6 million contract to support the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water.

Under the contract, Abt will focus on supporting the agency’s Office of Water in developing Clean Water Act regulations to reduce water pollution discharges, the company said in a release.

To this end, the company will provide cost, economic impact, environmental assessment and benefits analyses services to the EPA.

The company will also support development of improved controls on stormwater nutrient discharges, evaluate market-based approaches to meet policy objectives, and inform the Office of Water in setting water quality and aquatic life standards, the company said.
