Abt Associates wins another contract with CMS

Second contract in under a week

Abt Associates has won a $2.9 million contract with CMS’s Center for Medicare to develop structural changes to Medicare’s Home Health Prospective Payment System.

This is Abt Associate’s second contract award from CMS in under a week.

The company’s work will assure access to care for vulnerable populations, Abt said in a release.

This work is mandated by the Affordable Care Act to make certain that Medicare beneficiaries who are low-income, living in medically underserved areas or who have high levels of severity of illness have access to care, and that there is adequate funding for it, Abt Associates said.

Henry Goldberg, principal associate at Abt, will lead this work.
