Progeny Systems wins $11M Navy contract for info sharing

Progeny Systems has won a contract under the Small Business Innovation Research program to support the Navy’s internal and external information sharing requirements.

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $11 million option with the U.S. Navy to implement a portal technology for internal and external information sharing requirements.

This contract was awarded under Phase III of the Small Business Innovation Research program.

It calls for Progeny to provide engineering and technical services in support of the SBIR Topic No. N03-049, “Automation and Work Flow Advances Using Technology Infusions for Manning Reduction,” the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2014.

Funding in the amount of $342,676 is being obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
