Raytheon wins $8M agreement for common sensor payload repairs

Ordering agreement was sole sourced to Raytheon

Raytheon Co. has won a $8 million sole sourced basic ordering agreement with the U.S. Navy for AN/AAS-53 common sensor payload repairs and sustainment support.

The AN/AAS-53 is a sophisticated imaging system used for surveillance, targeting and tracking for laser guided weapons.

The repairs and sustainment support include depot repair, spare analysis, program management, configuration management, software maintenance, field support repair, field support engineering support continental United States, engineering support, reliability and logistical support, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, Dugway, Utah, and El Mirage, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2014.

Funding in the amount of $589,000 was obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
