GCN has released a timeline of the past 30 years in U.S. cybersecurity.
The list begins with staging a proto-cyberattack in 1982 by reprogramming computer equipment that was to be used by a Soviet gas pipeline to the launch of an initiative in 2012 for a digital identity ecosystem.
