Dovèl hires health care IT pro to boost sector sales

Dovèl Technologies has hired Adam Welsh as senior vice president and general manager for health IT to grow the company’s presence and gain new customers.

Dovèl Technologies has hired Adam Welsh as senior vice president and general manager for health IT.

In this role, Welsh will oversee the development of solutions for Dovèl’s customers in the health space, including the Food and Drug Administration and the American Red Cross, and he will seek out opportunities to expand the company’s presence across new customers, according to a Sept. 8 company announcement.

Welsh’s career includes large pharmaceutical companies, health care providers, health plans, the Defense Department, the Food and Drug Administration, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the National Cancer Institute.

Before joining Dovèl, Welsh was managing partner at KAI Strategy LLC, where he led consulting, strategy and program delivery projects that include delivering a unique maturity model and decision support tool to help the National Cancer Institute develop effective strategies for oncology-specific electronic health record components.

Welsh has served on several national committees and boards that include the National Health Information Technology Collaborative for the Underserved, the National Patient Safety Foundation’s Corporate Council, Consumers Advancing Patient Safety, and the American Medical Group Association’s Results Based Payment Initiative.
