Network-centric technology put to the test

Empire Challenge is an annual live demonstration organized by the Joint Forces Command. Its objectives include:

  • Improving intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support to command and control operations.
  • Enhancing coalition data sharing and interoperability.
  • Improving interoperability between national/strategic intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
  • Demonstrating multi-intelligence battlespace awareness.
  • Continuing data standards development and system interoperability.
