Sentel acquires intelligence firm

The company will extend its reach into more intelligence customers and capabilities.

Sentel Corp. has acquired 24/7 Solutions, a company that specializes in service intelligence agencies.

24/7 provides services such as counter-terrorism/operations support, intelligence analysis, technical operations, information technology and management-technical support.

“24/7 is a very attractive company to join forces with Sentel and we, in turn, bring to their customers a broad array of engineering and information technology services to the government and military,” said Darrell Crapps, president and chief executive officer of Sentel, in a statement.

The combination of the two companies will broaden what each can offer their current customers, Crapps said.

Dana Madalon, 24/7’s CEO and president, and Barbara Jennings, executive vice president, will stay on as vice presidents running the day-to-day operations of 24/7 Solutions as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sentel.

The investment bank Aronson Capital Partners advised 24/7 in the transaction.
