Navy command wants to upgrade GPS

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific wants input from contractors on the availability of modern technologies associated with Global Positioning System equipment.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific is seeking input from contractors on the availability of modern technologies associated with Global Positioning System equipment.

In a sources-sought notice published today, command officials said they want to identify potential suppliers of Modernized GPS User Equipment.

Respondents should submit a brief statement summarizing their experience with various GPS technologies, such as anti-jamming and anti-spoofing tools; navigation warfare; constellation simulators; receiver designs; information assurance; and cryptographic and key management.

The command is gathering the information for a possible future solicitation. Responses are due by Feb. 18.
