Catapult names Thornton CFO

Catapult Technology Ltd., a provider of professional services to government agencies, has named David Thornton its chief financial officer.

Thornton joined the Bethesda, Md., company in January 2008 as vice president of finance. His hiring was part of an expansion of the company’s management team, Catapult officials said.

As a senior vice president and CFO, Thornton will be responsible for the company’s financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting functions. He also will oversee accounts payable, payroll and capital asset accounting functions.

In addition, he will manage operations activities, coordinate annual audits and oversee internal control processes.

Thornton previously was director of financial operations for the CACI AIT group. Before that he was a controller at Information Management Consultants Inc.

Catapult is a service-disabled veteran-owned company.
