D.C. Capital continues deal-making

D.C. Capital Partners' government platform National Interest Security Co. (NISC) LLC has acquired Multi-Threaded Inc., which provides technology services to the intelligence community and Defense Department.

As the group's sixth acquisition in 18 months, Multi-Threaded joins a growing list of companies that D.C. Capital has acquired since forming NISC last year.

Multi-Threaded, of Herndon, Va., provides systems engineering and software development solutions for managing data and analyzing documents and other media in multiple languages. Defense and intelligence customers use the solutions to manage and analyze large amounts of data collected from intelligence operations worldwide, company officials said.

The company's acquisition strategy has focused on mission-critical requirements in the government, said Thomas Campbell, president of D.C. Capital and chairman of NISC. Multi-Threaded will become part of NISC's information management group. The company's "mining and analysis tools supply NISC the capability to provide a total solution to our customers," Campbell said.
