HP completes EDS buyHewlett-Packard Co. has closed its $13.9 billion
purchase of integrator giant EDS Corp., based
in Plano, Texas.
Ron Rittenmeyer, EDS' president and chief
executive officer, will remain head of the new
business group, which will include HP
Technology Solutions Group's outsourcing services
operations.
The transaction will more than double Palo
Alto, Calif.-based HP's services revenue of
$16.6 billion in fiscal 2007.
ManTech snaps up cyber firmManTech International Corp. has bought
Herndon, Va., cybersecurity provider Emerging
Technologies Group Inc. Financial terms were
not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Fairfax, Va.-based
ManTech's cybersecurity operations and
improve the company's preparations to compete
for additional work related to the
Comprehensive National Cyber Security
Initiative.
Apptis buys Base One TechnologiesApptis Inc. bought New Rochelle, N.Y., technology
services provider Base One Technologies Ltd.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Base One will remain a Homeland Security
Department Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for
Leading Edge Solutions contract holder, but it will
operate as a unit of Chantilly, Va.-based Apptis.
DRC closes Kadix buyDynamics Research Corp. sealed its $42 million
buy of Arlington, Va., management consulting
firm Kadix Systems LLC.
The acquisition of Kadix and its 270 employees
more than doubles Andover, Mass.-based
DRC's presence in the Washington area, the
company said.
Americom deal adds comm skillsAmericom Government Services Inc. is
buying Dallas-based AOS Inc. to bulk up its
security skills for network mobility and communications
solutions. Terms of the deal were not
disclosed.
AOS will become a division of Americom, a
satellite solutions provider in McLean, Va.
QinetiQ buys Dominion Tech Resources
QinetiQ North America bought Reston, Va.-
based Dominion Technology Resources Inc.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The buy expands McLean, Va.-based
QinetiQ's security and intelligence business.
WidePoint swings Protexx dealWidePoint Corp. bought identity management
and information protection technology developer
Protexx Inc. of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Financial
terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition significantly expands
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based WidePoint's core
security offerings, a company official said.
