Accenture to support Air Force net-centric operations

Accenture will provide services to improve and expand on existing net-centric capabilities across a variety of domains and environments.

Accenture National Security Services LLC will support the Air Force's network-centric warfare initiative under a $22.3 million contract.

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will provide a variety of services to improve and expand on existing net-centric capabilities across a wide variety of domains and environments, the Defense Department said Aug. 6. The work will involve expanding network services, refining workflow procedures and developing best practices, DOD said.

Hanscom Air Force Base is the contracting activity overseeing the effort.

Accenture National Security Systems, of Reston, Va., is a unit of Accenture Ltd. The parent company ranks No. 23 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
