Eight cleared for Air Force field support

Eight companies won prime contracts to provide field support to Air Force facilities under a contract worth as much as $10.1 billion.

The Contract Field Teams program contract was awarded to AECOM Government Services Inc., Computer Sciences Corp., Defense Support Services LLC, DynCorp International, L3 Communications Integrated Systems' Vertex Aerospace Inc., Lear Siegler Services Inc., Northrop Grumman Technical Services Corp. and Kent Construction Co.

Under the contract, the companies will provide inspection, maintenance, modification and repair services at Air Logistics Centers, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard.

Contract Field Teams program contracts are also used to support needs generated by the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Federal Aviation Administration and other Federal agencies.
