Avineon gets technical support order from IRS

Avineon Inc. has won a task order from the Internal Revenue Service for comprehensive systems engineering and technical support services.

Avineon Inc. has won a three-year, $7.8 million task order from the Internal Revenue Service for comprehensive systems engineering and technical support services.

The company will provide the IRS' Modernization and Information Technology Services' System Architecture and Engineering Division with architecture and engineering alternative analyses, impact assessments, technical evaluations and cost and schedule estimations.

MITS oversees the integration of the IRS' computer and business modernization initiatives into the service's daily IT operations.

The award is part of Avineon's Total Information Processing Support Services contract with IRS. The Alexandria, Va., company is assisting IRS' Modernization Vision and Strategy program, business intelligence services and document management for its Centers of Excellence.

In addition to Alexandria, Avineon has offices in Alabama, Florida and Georgia, and subsidiaries in Europe and India.
