SRA buys software developer ICS

SRA International Inc. has bought flight control software
developer Interface & Control Systems Inc.

NASA is using ICS' software in its Constellation nextgeneration
space flight project. The Columbia, Md.-
based ICS will become part of SRA's National
Security Sector Intelligence and Space Strategic
Business Unit, based in Fairfax, Va.

Bart & Associates buys Digital Solutions

Bart & Associates Inc., a provider of enterprise software
solutions, has bought Digital Solutions Inc.
Financial details were not disclosed. The Sterling,
Va.-based DSI is qualified with the Homeland
Security Department as a prime contractor for Eagle
software development, a spokesman for McLean,
Va.-based B&A said.

Foreign offer stirs controversy

An unsolicited $300 million bid for Digimarc Corp.'s
government identification card business is raising ire
internationally. The bid by Paris defense firm Safran
S.A. could present national security concerns, said
Robert LaPenta, chairman of prospective buyer L-1
Identity Solutions Inc. The French government owns a
substantial stake in Safran. Digimarc, based in
Beaverton, Ore., had agreed in March to be acquired
by L-1 for an estimated $263 million.
