Lee to lead Compusearch defense, intel markets

Deidre Lee will join Compusearch Software Systems Inc. in September as director of defense and intelligence markets. She will lead the company's efforts to help public-sector organizations more efficiently and transparently spend, grant and move funds in accordance with government business rules.

Lee has three decades of government experience and is one of the best-known federal acquisition executives. Most recently, she was director of management and chief acquisition officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

She has also served as assistant commissioner of integrated technology services at the General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service, director of defense procurement and acquisition policy at the Defense Department, administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy at the Office of Management and Budget and associate administrator of procurement at NASA.

Compusearch specializes in automated procurement processes, having built the first fully searchable Federal Acquisitions Regulation research and document assembly system. The company also created PRISM, an online procurement system for federal officials.
