Doumitt named Geosemble CEO

Andre Doumitt, former president and chief operating officer at Geosemble Technologies Inc., has been named the company's chief executive officer, effective immediately.

He replaces Robert Landes, who had served as CEO since Geosemble's founding in December 2004. Landes will stay on in an advisory role as nonexecutive chairman and senior adviser, the company announcement said.

Doumitt, a former defense industry executive at BAE Systems Inc. and Boeing Corp., joined Geosemble in October 2007 and was charged with expanding the company's commercial portfolio and its federal government research and development work.

A spinoff from the University of Southern California, Geosemble is based in El Segundo, Calif. Its government clients include the National Science Foundation and Homeland Security and Defense departments.
