Command Info buys a bright Idealogica

Command Information Inc. has acquired privately held Idealogica Inc., a Leesburg, Va., provider of information security services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

As part of the agreement, Command Information will acquire Idealogica's staff, intellectual property, and government and commercial customer base.

The acquisition will let Command Information assure its customers "that their IPv6 enablement would not compromise the security of their networks," said Jerry Edgerton, chief executive officer of the Herndon, Va.-based company.

Idealogica CEO Chris O'Ferrell will come aboard at Command Information as head of the new network security practice.
