WidePoint gets DLA information assurance work

WidePoint Corp. will support the computer emergency response team at the Defense Logistics Agency under a $2.5 million contract.

Under the terms of the agreement, WidePoint's iSYS unit will assist DLA's computer emergency response team to maintain the proper level of information assurance.

To do this, iSYS will assess, configure and document various information assurance tools and controls. The company also will provide training for the controls and tools needed to meet the response team's information assurance needs.

WidePoint acquired iSYS in January. The purchase helped strengthen WidePoint's capabilities in mobile technology management and forensic informatics.

WidePoint, of Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., is a provider of information technology products and services for identity management, information assurance, forensic informatics and wireless technology.
