Public Consulting Group has acquired Eclipse Solutions, a provider of information technology consulting services to the public sector. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996, Eclipse assists state and local governments in managing their IT resources. Its service offerings include project management, project oversight and technology architecture. Other areas of expertise are management consulting and infrastructure support services. The Sacramento, Calif.-based business has clients in California and the Pacific Northwest.
Eclipse's capabilities fit well with PCG's management consulting capabilities related to state and local health care, human services and other government agencies, said Bill Mosakowski, PCG's president and chief executive officer.
The combination of Eclipse's IT management capabilities, coupled with PCG's knowledge of state and local government operations, he said, will benefit public sector clients as they strive to make the best use of available funds to maximize the services they provide.
PCG of Boston offers management consulting services and technology to public sector health, human services and education clients. It has 500 employees in 24 offices nationwide, and also has an office in Montreal.
