ACS picks up 311 deal

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will establish and operate a 311 customer service center for Solano County, Calif., under a 42-month contract worth $4 million.

Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will provide implementation services and develop and refine various data-driven processes associated with the project.

Along with processing citizen requests for non-emergency services, the new center will track service delivery performance. Employees from the company will manage and staff the customer service center.

ACS also provides information technology services and support to the county.

ACS ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
