SRA picked for DEA tech upgrade

SRA International Inc. has won a five-year, $78 million contract from the Drug Enforcement Administration to upgrade its information technology infrastructure and improve its law-enforcement capabilities.

Under DEA's Enterprise Management Services contract, SRA will provide a full range of operations and maintenance services to the Operations and Support Section of the agency's Office of Information Systems. OIS supports DEA's enforcement of controlled-substances laws and regulations by providing efficient, secure network and IT services to DEA agents and staff worldwide.

The SRA award calls for improving reliability and security by upgrading DEA's IT infrastructure and providing more effective and responsive customer support.

The performance-based contract covers customer support services, IT security, network operations and change management services for more than 285 domestic and 85 foreign DEA locations.

SRA of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
