Maximus to assist Indiana with Medicaid enrollment

Maximus Inc. will provide enrollment broker services to Indiana for several Medicaid programs under a two-year, $15 million contract.

Under the contract, Maximus of Reston, Va., will provide call center and other customer support services to facilitate work on the Hoosier Healthwise, Medicaid Select and Indiana Care Select programs.

In addition, Maximus will provide the same services for a health insurance program for uninsured low-income adults known as the Healthy Indiana Plan.

Enrollment broker services are designed to help Medicaid beneficiaries make informed choices about which managed care organization best meets their needs. The work also requires helping beneficiaries resolve issues they encounter in receiving services.

Maximus specializes in program management, consulting and information technology services. The company has 5,200 employees working in the United States, Canada and Australia, and handles enrollment broker services for 11 states.
