STG to assist Coast Guard systems center

STG Inc. will provide help desk services for the Coast Guard under a new $9.5 million award from the guard's Operations Systems Center.

STG Inc. will provide help desk services for the Coast Guard under a new five-year, $9.5 million award from the guard's Operations Systems Center.

STG's support services are for proprietary software products used by the Coast Guard.

The Operations Systems Center develops and maintains applications that directly support USCG's mission. The Customer Support Division directly supports more than 25 of these systems and acts as a single point of contact for support on all Operations Systems Center systems.

For the past nine years, STG has provided applications support for the Coast Guard, company officials said.

STG, based in Reston, Va. ranks No. 98.1 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
