Calif. city renews ACS outsourcing deal

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a one-year, $4.2 million contract to continue providing outsourced information technology services to the city of Santa Clara, Calif.

The outsourcing contract covers project management, help desk, desktop, network, application, operation and systems services. ACS has 30 employees assigned to the project.

Santa Clara awarded the extension based on its long-term successful relationship with ACS and the overall cost effectiveness of the outsourced services, city officials said.

The city is located in Santa Clara County in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay area. It has a population of more than 109,000.

ACS of Dallas ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
