Marine Corps chooses 6 for $809M network install contract

Awardees will focus their efforts on the physical assets of networks at Marine Corps bases and other locations.
The Marine Corps has awarded six companies positions on a 10-year, $809 million contract vehicle for work to install new telecommunication and network infrastructure at service branch facilities worldwide.
Marine Corps officials sought a team of contractors that could also engineer, furnish, secure, test and make operational all of the physical assets for the networks.
A total of 17 companies bid for the contract that covers services inside and outside of the continental U.S., the Pentagon said in its Tuesday awards digest.
Awardees are as follows:
- Chugach Dynamic Solutions
- Copper River Infrastructure Services
- DecisiveInstincts
- Direct Enterprise Solutions
- Nakupuna Consulting
- Spectrum Solutions
Called ISTC BAN in the shorthand, the Infrastructure Services Transport Communications Base Area Network is a brand new requirement with no incumbent. The contract was also fully set aside for small businesses.
The solicitation issued in May 2023 outlines how contractors on the program will be responsible for providing all ancillary equipment, labor, training, software, firmware, licenses, power, grounding, and interfaces associated with these systems to deliver a complete turnkey solution.
Marine Corps Systems Command has over time changed the focus of its base modernization approach to focus on the core nodes and convergence, according to the documents.
