Omnyon joins several other businesses that Cedar has acquired over the years to create a "family" of IT services and software companies.

Cedar Solutions Group has added another business to its portfolio with the acquisition of Omnyon, a company that provides IT and other-tech centric services to government agencies.

Omnyon joins several other businesses that Cedar has acquired over the years, all of which continues to operate as independent companies. Cedar describes itself as a “family” of IT services and software contractors.

In Omnyon, Cedar picks up a company that supports mission-critical programs in the national security sector. Some examples of capabilities include artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, high-performance computing and data analytics.

Most of its work is with intelligence agencies.

As part of Cedar, Omnyon is looking for access to more resources and security from the parent's long-term investment approach. Omnyon will also have access to other Cedar companies serving the intelligence community.

"When initially talking to Cedar, we were impressed by how much our values aligned,” Omnyon's founder Tim Gorski said in a release. “This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in our journey, and we are confident that it will propel us to new heights of success."

KippsDeSanto & Co. acted as financial adviser to Omnyon, whose legal counsel was Rees Broome.
