Mass. Medicaid system

The Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services is planning an RFP for the design, implementation and operation of a Medicaid management information system. The RFP is coming out of the agency's Division of Medical Assistance and is expected between March and May 2004. The contractor will provide a new MMIS that can meet the certification requirements of the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The system will enable the state to reduce costs, improve services and eliminate redundant interagency systems.
