Robert Lohfeld Jr. is CEO of Sev1Tech, a professional services company grown in a competitive environment without any special socio-economic designators.
Mr. Lohfeld is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies, and interacting with clients, employees, investors and other stakeholders. He is Sev1Tech’s primary decision- and policy-maker, setting the tone for the company’s values, ethics and culture. Under his leadership and guidance Sev1Tech, in just 8 years has grown into a multi-million-dollar large business providing innovative solutions and services to Federal and commercial customers across the United States.
Mr. Lohfeld exemplifies the commitment to service delivery excellence that is prevalent in the success of his company, Sev1Tech for the last 5 years in a row was ranked in the top 3 by COMPUTERWORLD as one of the “Best Places to work in IT”. Additionally, since its inception Sev1Tech has achieved a 91% exceptional CPARS rating across all Federal customers.
Robert believes that a company should be giving back to the community under his direction, Sev1Tech has provided over 8,100 hours supporting the community over the last 8 years and has received several local county awards for his company’s contributions to the community. At Sev1Tech, Mr. Lohfeld has instituted a culture of employee enablement, providing an educational environment that encourages and drives certification and employee self-improvement. He has established a culture of transparent communications and an Open Books profit sharing program based on the Great Game of Business methodology. To help employees continually improve, Mr. Lohfeld developed a relevancy model called the 4R’s that helps provide employees with a baseline of their relevancy and a way to develop plans for improvement.
Prior to founding Sev1Tech, Robert served as deputy director of the Enterprise Data Center Operations Group (EDCOG) for CBP where he managed mission-critical operations, IT service delivery, IT infrastructure management, and business continuity. Robert led 5 distinct functional branches and 360 government and contract personnel sustaining 24×7 operations. He received awards from the Commissioner and a medal from Passenger Program office for outstanding support. At US Internetworking (USI), he directed all implementation and migration activities for e-business, healthcare, transportation, defense, and national security markets.
In addition to his leadership experience Mr. Lohfeld has over 25 years of experience in IT facilities design and integration, IT strategy, and large-scale performance-based program management, Robert has successfully led the data center migrations and consolidations of many large government agencies in Washington, D.C. metro area. This includes the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), Department of Transportation (DoT), Health and Human Services (HHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), geospatial, and commercial customers.
Robert holds a master’s degree in international management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts degree in international political systems from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Robert is a Justice of Peace for the State of Virginia and a member of the Inc. CEO project.
