Jason is a Partner of Enlightenment Capital and brings decades of experience in both operational roles and as a principal investor in the aerospace, defense, security, and government contracting industries. Prior to joining Enlightenment, he served as a Principal and Washington DC office lead for LLR Partners, a private equity firm with over $4B in assets under management, where he was responsible for directing aerospace, defense, security, and government services related deal activity. Prior to joining LLR, Jason was a Managing Director at Monument Capital Group and Principal with The White Oak Group, private equity funds with a range of investments in the defense, government services, and security related industry segments. Before the White Oak Group, he was a senior vice president in the diversified industrials investment banking practice at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey, Capital Markets (FBR) where he led M&A and capital raising efforts in the aerospace, defense, security, and government services industries.
Jason has a track record of over $1.5 billion in transaction value across more than 25 deals. Prior to FBR, Jason spent over a decade in senior operations roles for “mid-tier” government contractors, including seven years with Pearson Government Solutions. He holds a MBA with an emphasis in finance from Columbia Business School, and an additional MBA with an emphasis in global business operations from London Business School. Jason also earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Radford University where he played on the school’s Division 1 Lacrosse Team. Jason serves on portfolio company boards and on the Advisory Board of AlphaTech, a group of senior industry professionals focused on helping select entrepreneurs in the cyber security and data analytics industry segments grow and scale their businesses. He served as the President of the National Capital Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He holds a Top Secret security clearance. Jason resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and three daughters.
