Janet Hanofee was named SOSi’s Vice President for Human Resources in 2017 and then Chief Human Resources Officer in 2019, coming here with more than 15 years of progressive human resources and benefits experience. She leads SOSi’s human resources, benefits and training team, which supports the company’s employees around the world.

Mrs. Hanofee plays an active role on our acquisition team and has contributed significantly to the smooth transition and integration of expanding our workforce during the past three years. Mrs. Hanofee joined SOSi from Chenega Corporation, a large federal government contractor, where she served as the senior director of human resources. Mrs. Hanofee also led corporate strategy development, benefits program design, government contracts compliance and auditing, and training program development and implementation.

Previously, Mrs. Hanofee served as the director of human resources for The Tatitlek Corporation, Human Resources Manager for CH2M Hill, and director of human resources for Harbor Enterprises Inc./North 60 Petroleum.

Mrs. Hanofee earned a bachelor’s degree in humanities from the University of Alaska, with a focus in human resources management and communication. She competed in the 1990 NCAA Rifle Championships for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Mrs. Hanofee also serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). She holds a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification and speaks frequently to business classes at NOVA Community College.
