President and CEO
NewWave Telecom & Technologies
Patrick Munis founded NewWave in 2004, driven by his entrepreneurial vision, passion for technology, and appreciation for his community.
With a deft understanding of federal health agencies, their culture, needs and challenges, Patrick continues to lead Newwave in providing applications that directly impact the health care industry with flexible, customized, cost-effective IT solutions.
As a testament to Patrick’s technical ingenuity, Newwave delivers an innovative and holistic approach to client needs with a specific focus on systems integration, big data, mobile cloud computing, and health informatics. His focus on innovative health care solutions stems from his deep desire to improve the quality of life for everyone.
Patrick’s early career focused on information technology, which provided the practical knowledge and diverse experience necessary to drive NewWave’s success. Patrick worked as an enterprise architect responsible for end-to-end mission-critical systems, as well as played a central role in designing the infrastructure at a major federal agency.
With an Executive MBA from MIT, Patrick’s exemplary entrepreneurial skills have earned him the distinction of being named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. Patrick was also awarded SBA’s 2016 Small Business Person of the Year for the D.C. Metro area. As a result of Patrick’s leadership, Newwave was named one of Baltimore’s Best Places to Work in 2016.
When he’s not pioneering new technology, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, cheering on his children’s sports teams, and listening to podcasts.
