Randy Phillips joined Leidos as the senior vice president of Corporate Development in August 2018. In this role, Randy is responsible for the management of both solicited and off-market strategic acquisitions that support the company's strategy and continued growth.

Randy is a highly successful corporate development and strategy executive. Throughout his career, he has led more than 70 mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures in 20 countries.

Most recently, he was the senior vice president of Corporate Development with Ellucian, Inc., where he was responsible for all corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic planning and ecosystem partnerships.

Prior to Ellucian, Randy served in a variety of business and corporate development and strategy positions at Boeing, TASC, and CSC. A Six Sigma Green Belt, he has also created and led mentor-protégé and competitive intelligence programs to drive market share and global growth.

Earlier in his career while at Alcoa, he led corporate development initiatives globally prior to becoming President of China Corporate Development, responsible for all corporate initiatives in that country, including acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, dispositions, green-fields, and brown-fields. He started his career at TRW, where he held successful management positions in systems engineering, program management, and business unit profit and loss prior to moving into strategic development, ultimately as head of global corporate development for the company.

Randy received his Bachelor of Science in computer science and systems from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Over the course of his career, he has also completed executive-level programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, and Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business.

Randy has a very active philanthropic focus on arts and education, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Randy and Cynthia Phillips Scholarship endowment, and the R.E. Phillips Family Foundation. Additionally, in support of his alma mater Wright State University, Randy has been a member of the President’s Campaign Cabinet, a Foundation Trustee and a Director of the External Advisory Board, College of Engineering & Computer Science.
