Gerald H. Gaskins serves as Vice President Strategic Captures and Capture Executive for FORTUNE 500® science and technology company Leidos. In his current role, he is responsible for leading a team of capture professionals, managing a portfolio of opportunities totaling over $5 billion for Information Technology within the Healthcare Line of Business. Prior to Leidos, Gaskins demonstrated a successful record of business captures, leading teams for the Lockheed Martin Corporation contributing over $3 billion in new business. His qualifications represents a broad range of leadership from a successful career as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps; Certified Government Acquisition Professional for Weapons and Information Technology Systems; Line of Business Director within multiple areas for the Department of Defense, Homeland Security and other Federal Civil agencies including the Defense Information Systems Agency, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Air Force District of Washington and the Pentagon Information Technology Agency. He is a professional with proven success in managing change while motivating innovation through the articulation of a clear vision, and aligning resources efficiently in achieving the organization’s mission, goals, and profitability.

Gaskins’ experience demonstrates responsibility to ensure organizational accountability; align initiatives with a strategic framework; work towards continuous improvement of business processes; open communication with all interfaces; competency in high-level decision making; and drive organizations to high-level performance.

Gaskins, a native of the Washington DC area, holds a bachelor of science in Pre-law, Economics from Bowie State University, a master of science in Information Technology and Telecommunications Management from Capitol College, and a master’s of business administration in Finance/Investment Analysis from the University of Baltimore, as well as various certifications including Program Management and Chief Information Officer. He is also a graduate of the National Defense University, Information Resources Management College and the Defense Systems Management College.
